The Los Banos division hears criminal matters.
The Los Banos division will accept all Small Claims, Limited and Unlimited Civil filings. Including adoption, probate, conservatorship, guardianship, civil restraining orders, and name changes.
Please note, Los Banos Court personnel are not authorized by law to give legal advice to private individuals.
The Los Banos division will accept family law filings for domestic violence protective orders only. All other filings must be submitted to the Family Law division in Merced.
Please be aware the superior court is not authorized by law to give legal advice to private individuals. If you are seeking legal advice as to which forms should be filed, you need to contact a private concern.
- You may appear as a walk-in any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.
- We do not accept walk-ins on Wednesdays.
- Please bring your citation, courtesy notice, release papers, or any other information you have pertaining to your case.
- Please keep in mind that the walk-in schedule is subject to change at any time.
We do not research over the telephone. To request information, kindly remit a $15 check or money order along with a self-addressed stamped envelope for information requested. If copies of documents are requested, and additional 50¢ per page will be charged.
